UPSC Geoscientist/Geologist Eligibility Criteria 2020
For Geologists Grade A Post:
Interested users must have a master’s Degree in Geological Science / Geology / Geo-Exploration / Mineral Exploration / Engineering Geology / Marine Geology / Earth Science and Resource management / Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies / Petroleum Geosciences or Petroleum Exploration / Geochemistry / Geological Technology. For Geophysicists Positions:
Aspirants should have an M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or Geophysics, Integrated Exploration Geophysics, or Applied Geophysics or Marine Tech. or Applied Geophysics with good academic records.
For The Post of Chemists:
Candidates are required M. Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry Degree from a reputed institution.
For Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist-B):
Students should secure a master’s Degree in Geology, Applied Geology, or Marine Geology from a well-known institute.
Age Limit:
For this UPSC combined geoscientist and geologist examination, the age requirement for 2020 is a minimum of 21 to a maximum of 35.
For Junior Hydrogeologists and 21 to 32 years for all other posts and ages, official notification will check relaxation details.
