AILET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

For Ph.D. Course:

Aspirants must complete a master’s degree in Law from a recognized university scoring not less than 55% (for SC/ST/PWD 50%)

Applicant must complete the degree in Law & M. Phil in social science or humanities scoring with the minimum 55%.

OR

ADVERTISEMENT

Interested applicants must have owned a degree in Law & Ph.D. in any disciplines.

OR

Aspirants also bring the Judge of any high court having 3 years’ experience or judge of Supreme Court in India.

For LLM:

For this course, the applicant must complete LLB or equivalent degree from a recognized university scoring minimum of 55% (in the case of SC/ST/PWD 50%).

The foreign candidates will get admissions through the LLB or qualifying entrance test.

The percentage of qualifying degree should not less than 55% in case of foreign candidates.

The foreign candidates will be asked for a personal interview for English Communication skill.

For BA, LLB (Hons.):

Applicant must possess 12th or equivalent exam scoring minimum 50%.

The minimum age to apply for AILET 2016 is 21 years as on 1st July of examination year (23 years for SC/ST applicants).

The applicants should have scored a minimum of 40% (for SC/ST 30%)

AILET 2020 Exam Pattern

In this examination total, 150 questions will be presented.

The time duration of the examination is 90 minutes.

Each question will be rewarded with 1 mark.

There are 5 sections in the exam of AILET for UG program and are as follows:

  • English – 35 marks
  • Legal aptitude – 35 marks
  • General knowledge – 35 marks
  • Logical reasoning – 35 marks
  • Basic Mathematics – 10 marks

The PG exam will contain 100 questions of MCQ type and one essay of 50 marks.

The duration of PG exam will be 90 minutes.

Subjects will be the law of torts, constitutional law, and the law of contracts, criminal law, and legal theory.

After the completion of the application form process, applicants must check exam paper date and AILET Admit Card because exam call letter will release before the 10 days of examination. So, aspirants, we are advised you must collect this document after the releasing.
